This full-reference shaper cutter is for making 2.5mm zig-zag grooves and great reference for a high-quality joinery. This joint is common gluing up pre-squared pieces for board slabs for tabletops, furniture components, and cutting boards. For a 55mm material, the additional 22mm (over 41% more) gluing surface secures the along-the-grain fiber bonds between the two pieces of wood. With a 2.5mm spacer or spindle height adjustment, the opposite glue joint can easily produce smooth and finish-quality cuts. Our glue joint tool is designed for along-the-grain glue joints for door, window, & millwork shops looking to glue up blanks to increase width. We have engineered it to achieve a level of accuracy you won't believe until you try it for yourself, and see the incredible fit of the joints it cuts.
With special V-shaped knives, the tool creates an excellent reference joint up to 55mm tall. This design also allows for increased surface area contact between the joined pieces for a stronger joint. Often simple butt joints will shift out of place during gluing- this tool solves this issue, allowing for stronger joints and easier referencing for glue-ups.
This cutter comes fully equipped with NaDia diamond-treated solid carbide insert knives, along with the correct T-wrench(es) for replacements- see table at the bottom of this page for the full list of NaDia standard tools.
