While it seems like we were just departing for our last Euro Tour a short time ago, it's already time to announce our big plans for 2016! Our next Euro Tour is shaping up to be one to remember, combining fun, knowledge, and trade show research. This year we'll be visiting the Fensterbau and Holz-Handwerk trade exhibitions being held March 16-19 in Nuremberg, Germany. As the world's largest fenestration exhibition, Fensterbau is a biennial show which debuts the most cutting-edge developments in our industry. Running parallel is Holz-Handwerk ("Wood Handcrafting" in English), a trade exhibition which runs the gamut of every incredible use for wood you can think of.

As always, the best part is the journey to the show- we're traveling through several countries on our way, visiting some of the world's most advanced window and door shops for in-depth shop tours, and sampling some of the best of the region's food, culture, and sightseeing. This year, we're winding through the Alpine region of Europe (lederhosen strictly optional). We're planning shop visits in northern Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and the Black Forest region of Germany, a region world-renowned for fine craftsmanship. It's where our vendor partners live and work, and the home of expertise for the most high-performing windows and doors in the world.

Of course, visiting the Alps is not only about great windows. Whether it's the Pacific Northwest, Southwest Colorado, or the Alps of Europe, our business and our partners all tend to be close to some exceptional skiing. This year, weather permitting, we're hitting the slopes before the Tour officially starts! If you enjoy skiing or snowboarding, we'd love you to join us for some alpine R&R in the Dolomites region of northern Italy.

We've found in the last 4 years that what really makes the Tour memorable is the people- and that's why we're extending an invitation to our whole community to join us this year. We've already received commitments for 40% of our 22 available bookings for the Tour, so if you're thinking about making this the year you join us, be sure to contact us soon to ensure your place is available. Full details, including the cost per person, will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

Thanks for signing up! We publish a monthly e-news with the latest on woodworking Knowledge, Products, and Connect.
